On Sunday, those aged 12 and older will be able to book a COVID-19 vaccination through the provincial booking site.
Appointments will be available starting at 8 a.m.
Individuals who are not 12-years-old on Sunday can book an appointment for a later date through the provincial call centre or directly through public health units that use their own booking system.
The Pfizer vaccine is currently the only COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized by Health Canada for those aged 12 and over.
Durham Region uses it’s own booking system and is currently only vaccinating those aged 18 and older.
The @DurhamHealth is aware that the @ONgov has opened eligibility for individuals 12 years+ effective Sunday, May 23 at 8am.
We are currently reviewing vaccine & booking availability to accommodate this change. We will update our website & appointment booking system soon. pic.twitter.com/RCos0M4fZr
