Durham Health holding mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic at White Oaks apartment complex in Whitby


The Durham Health Department is going be holding a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Highland Towers Apartments, also known as the White Oaks apartment complex.

The departments says they have been monitoring increasing cases of COVID-19 in the apartments for the past two weeks.

Since May 1, they say 143 cases have been identified at this apartment complex, with another 47 new cases confirmed following an on-site testing event held on May 20 for residents of the four apartment buildings in the area.

A COVID-19 vaccination clinic for residents of the apartments will be held on May 25 and will be located in Jeffery Street Park.

The clinic will be open to all eligible residents 12 years and older who live in the four buildings.

    Which vaccine will be used,and if Pfizer can one get their second shot?

    Hi Monika, Pfizer or Moderna. You can only get a second shot if you have the highest risk health conditions or are a health care worker.

    Thank you for letting me know, I have RA and are a health care giver to my husband who’s having dementia and a brain tumour, our second Pfizer shot is scheduled for July 3rd.
