Widow of SARS specialist supports doctor-assisted suicide

STETHOSCOPEIn 2003, Dr. Donald Low was the infectious disease specialist who led Toronto through the SARS crisis. Since his passing last year, his widow, Maureen Taylor, has spoke out on the illegal matter of doctor-assisted suicide. As the Supreme Court prepares for the hearing in October, her comments regarding her late husband’s wishes and beliefs are being heard now. Eight days before Dr. Low’s death, he recorded a video showing him in favour of the medical assisted suicide. Dr. Low died last September from a brain tumor.
