If your dad spends a lot of time in front of the barbecue, you can treat him this Father’s Day weekend at the drive-thru Ribfest in Ajax.
From 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday to Sunday, you can find all of your favourite Ribfest staples at the Casino Ajax and Picov Downs parking lot.
It’s a drive-thru event, so you’ll have to stay in your vehicle.
Three trucks will be serving up pulled pork, BBQ chicken and of course– ribs! Other vendors feature sweet treats, like Tiny Tom Donuts and buttertarts.
When you arrive at the casino, follow the marked signs until you meet a staff member. They’ll take your order for donuts, roasted corn or buttertarts and deliver it to your vehicle.
After that, you’ll drive over to the ribber of your choice for the main course.
Cash, credit and debit cards are all accepted.

They were sold out at 5pm Sunday. 3 hrs before closing. Obviously not very well planned! First day of summer, Father’s Day, should have been prepared.
Too bad “Ribfest” was sold out of ribs on Sunday afternoon. It made for a disappointing Father’s Day dinner.
I drove through and it took 3 hours to get all the BBQ sauce off my car. Looked like I went to monster jam with my Lada. Thank God I left my winter wiper blades on, saved me for the way home.
