Review of respect and culture at St. Michael’s College School in Toronto finds bullying a major issue

A new report about a prestigious private all-boys school in Toronto rocked by sexual assault allegations found bullying is a big problem at the school.

An independent committee did the report about respect and the culture at St. Michael’s College School.

Seven students on the football team were expelled and charged with assault and sexual assault in connection with some alleged hazing incidents that happened on school property.

Charges against one of the boys were recently dropped.

The report found bullying is a problem not just on the team, but throughout the school and measures put in place to tackle the issue haven’t worked.

The report had 36 recommendations for St. Mike’s and the school says they’ll be adopting them all.
