Toronto’s first provincial pot shop very close to a school

One of the province’s first pot shops in Toronto is less than one kilometre away from a school.

Premier Kathleen Wynne says she’s looking into how that happened.

The Chair of the Toronto District School Board Robin Pilkey says she was “kind of surprised” when she heard the news.

The board had previously asked the province and the city to keep any marijuana dispensaries far away from schools. 

She also says no one consulted the board before the proposed locations were announced by the province this week.
