NHL PLAYOFFS

Ottawa faced off against the Pittsburg Friday night, and “Sid the Kid” showed why he’s possibly the next great one. With a hat trick, Crosby helped the penguins defeat the Senators 4-3. The Penguins are leading the series 2-0. The Chicago Blackhawks are facing the Detroit Red Wings Saturday afternoon. The Blackhawks are leading the series 1-0. Puck drops at 1 p.m. The Los Angeles Kings are looking to lead the series 3-0 Saturday night, as well, when as they face San Jose Sharks. Puck drops at 9 p.m.

C.H.L. MEMORIAL CUP

The London Knights started their tournament for the Memorial Cup with a 3-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades. The Portland Winterhawks are facing the Halifax Mooseheads Saturday evening.

AHL PLAYOFFS

The Marlies faced off against the Griffins Saturday night hoping to tie the series at 2 apiece.  The Marlies opened the scoring late in the first, but the Griffins came back in the second and third to defeat the Marlies 4-1. Griffins lead the series 3-1. The Marlies look to keep themselves afloat when they face the Griffins again Saturday. Game starts at 7 p.m.

MLB

The Jays were hoping to continue their winning streak in New York as they took to thee mound against the Yankees. Unfortunately, Toronto struck out five times and were only allowed four hits as they were defeated by the Yankees 5-0. The Jays are back at it again on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is at 1:05 p.m.

NBA PLAYOFFS

The Indiana Pacers are hoping to advance to the conference finals as they take on the New York Knicks, Saturday. Game starts at 8 p.m.
