NHL PLAYOFFS

The only Canadian team remaining in the playoffs – the Ottawa Senators – resume the series against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.  On Sunday, Colin Greening scored the winning goal in overtime to give Ottawa the win and narrow the Penguins lead to 2 games to 1.  The Boston Bruins took a commanding 3-0 series lead on the New York Rangers on Tuesday with a 2-1 come from behind win. Boston has a chance to wrap up the series Thursday in the Big Apple. The LA Kings spotted the San Jose Sharks a 2-0 lead and could only get one back in a 2-1 loss. The series is tied at 2 after the home team has won every game so far in the series.  

C.H.L. MEMORIAL CUP

Wednesday’s action has the Saskatoon Blades – the host team – against the Portland Winterhawks. London will play the losing team in tonight’s game.

AHL PLAYOFFS

The season is over for the Toronto Marlies after the Maple Leafs’ affiliate team blew a 2-goal third period lead and lost 4-3 to the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Griffins win the series 4 games to 2.

MLB

Toronto Blue Jays’ will play a rubber match against the Tampa Bay Rays in the three game series on Wednesday afternoon. Lefty Mark Buerhle is on the mound for the Jays against Jeremy Hellickson. 

NBA PLAYOFFS

Miami and Indiana finally start their Eastern Conference Final tonight in South Beach.  The Pacers won the season series 2-1.
