May 1st, 2013 | Comments (0)

Potholes, crumbling pavement and congestion are just some of the complaints that officials with the CAA want to hear about during the 10th annual Worst Roads campaign. Officials with the CAA and from all levels of government agree on just how important road infrastructure is, but keeping everything up to date does come with a hefty price tag. Spokesperson for the Association, Faye Lyons, says each year there is over $2 billion collected in gas taxes and they believe that money should be going directly into road infrastructure, something that impacts health, safety and the economy. Last year, Dufferin Street in Toronto was branded the worst of the worst. In Durham Region, Ritson Road in Oshawa is never too far from the discussion.
