Toronto police searching for alleged dog thief

Toronto police are trying to find a dog that was stolen outside a grocery story. A 58-year-old man went to do some shopping at the store in the Woodbine and Danforth area around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday. Police say he left his dog tied up to a pole outside but another man came and took the dog before he returned. The suspect is described as a white man with long grey hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a green t-shirt with a large logo in the centre, a dark zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and a black backpack. The dog is a three-year-old male, pure bred German Sheppard. The dog has a black muzzle, a blue collar with no tags and a brown leather leash. The dog’s name is Charlie. Anyone with information can call police at 416-808-5400 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
