Former Burlington teacher facing sexual assault charges

A 58-year-old former Burlington teacher is facing seven charges after students alerted Halton police of physical abuse and inappropriate sexual touching. Dennis Connolly was arrested on Friday. Officers say the alleged incidents happened at Alexander’s Public School in Burlington, where Connolly was working as a music teacher at the time. He is charged with assault, three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference. Police believe there could be more victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
