New York man arrested and charged with G20 Summit related offences


Toronto Police have charged an American man with 26 offences, following the G20 Summit in Toronto, in 2010. Officers say 27-year-old Joel Saleem Bitar from New York, returned to Canada from the US and voluntarily surrendered to police on Tuesday. Th accused allegedly smashed windows of a cop car, while an officer was inside and smashed the windows of a Starbucks, ATMs, Subway sandwich and a TD branch. He also threw a rock at a line of police officers. He will appear in court on Wednesday.
