Target opens its doors in Canada

Target is now officially a part of the Canadian retail landscape. The U.S discount retailer opened its first three stores on Tuesday in communities west of Toronto. There was a mix of bargain hunters and curious shoppers when the doors first opened at the Target locations. Target will roll out stores across most of the country this year after acquiring most of the real estate assets operated by Zellers in late 2010.
