500 high quality jobs will be created in Ajax in 2013 as part of the town’s 10 year economic development strategy. Manager of business development Lisa Hausz credits business owners with helping to create the initiative. Hausz says since the strategy launched in 2010, 1600 key sector jobs in the manufacturing, business services, health, and tourism sectors have been created. Residents can apply for these new positions at the Durham Region Career fair being held February 21 st at the Ajax Community Centre. This looks like another exercise and promotion of nothing specific. The link provided is dead. What are the exact jobs available right now ? How much do they pay ? What company ?
What people DON’T need is another exercise where names are compiled for non existent jobs.
If there are REAL jobs available TODAY, post them.
We seen 4,000 people line up for “Costco” only to see less than 100 hired, and today, a few months later less than 12 new jobs are in place.
We don’t need MORE job fairs that employ and keep busy a few government workers. We don’t need exercises that make it look like things are prosperous, when it’s quite the opposite.
Post the specific jobs, or tell people what this really is, more like a “list” to be sold/given to employers interested in setting up shop in Durham. Either that, or POST THE EXACT JOBS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TODAY. Thank you.
(By the way, I am not looking for a job)
