Suspect remains outstanding after an Oshawa woman was sexually assaulted

The investigation is continuing for Durham Police, after an 18 year-old woman was sexually assaulted while walking alone in Oshawa. Officials say around 4:00 a.m. Sunday, the victim was sexually assaulted by a man in Baker Park, in the Harmony and Regent Drive area. No weapons were involved, and the suspect fled on foot. The victim sustained minor injuries and received immediate medical attention. The suspect is described as white, between the ages of 25 and 30, about 6’2 and had a medium build. Anyone with information is being asked to contact Detective Maharaj at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5334, or Detective Laurie Rushbrook ext. 5320, both in the Major Crime Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit.
