Citizens recognized for their bravery at Regional Council meeting

Recipients of the award went above and beyond to help their neighbours in various emergency situations over the past year. Chief Mike Ewles says it takes a special person to get involved in an emergency and you definitely have to be careful whether you’re entering water, or helping victims of assaults or robberies the key is to find an effective solution that doesn’t put you at risk. He says the number of awards given out speaks to how tight knit the communities are in Durham Region.
