Hydro still out for many in Ontario

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories

Electric utilities say most of those left without power in the wake of superstorm Sandy should have hydro back today or at the very latest tomorrow.  Hydro One says about 7,800 customers were still without power, most of them in Muskoka and Lambton.  Toronto Hydro says there were about 4,500 customers without power as crews work on one major power line.  The primary are affected is in the Eglinton and Bayview areas.  Those still without power are urged to turn off and unplug major appliances, including televisions, computers, stereos and other electronics, to avoid damage from a surge when the hydro comes back on.
