A fight in Oshawa over a proposed apartment building

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

A group of north Oshawa residents are not too happy with the city these days.  They’re fighting a proposed apartment building on Glenbourne Drive behind the Cineplex Odeon and Mayor John Henry says there was a lengthy Ontario municipal board hearing over the land designation about 10 years ago and is hoping there is a result everyone could live with. Mayor Henry says to date the city has only seen preliminary plans and no building permits have been issued.  The resident petition is online and can be found through this link.
