Police hope retracing the steps of a murder victim will lead to more clues

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Crime, Toronto

Retracing the steps of a woman murdered in Cabbagetown last week is the focus of the Toronto Police investigation.  They hope figuring out her route will help them locate security footage and possibly more information on her attacker.  Nighisti Semret was walking home from work Tuesday morning when she was attacked from behind in a laneway near Parliament and Wellesley.  She was stabbed several times and died in hospital.  Last week, police released video surveillance footage of Semret being followed by a white male just before the attack.
