‘Food for Clothing’ exchange aims to be the biggest ever

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

The 24th annual ‘Food for Clothing’ exchange is fast approaching and organizers are hoping to do better than ever this year. Coordinator Jim Ferguson says the focus of the program, is to help people in need across Durham Region, by allowing residents to exchange food for some clothing. He does say, if you are in need and can’t donate food, you can still receive clothing. Both local school boards are part of this program and residents can drop off any kind of winter clothing at their local school. The exchange takes place at Village Union Public School in Oshawa from 9:00 a.m. until noon, Saturday, November 3rd.
