Some grade 7 and 8 students in Courtice will get an early taste of high school

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, Education

The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board is trying to address the issue of overcrowding in Durham schools. Starting next year, grade 7 and 8 students enrolled in the French immersion program at Dr. G.J. MacGillivray Public School will be sent to Courtice Secondary School. Board Chair Diane Lloyd says they’re trying to address parents and guardians concerns. Lloyd says before the change is made there will still be plenty of opportunity for parents to ask questions and express their concerns.
