‘Sandy’ once again upgraded to hurricane status

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories

The storm named ‘Sandy’ has been officially downgraded from a Category-One hurricane to a tropical storm, but that has been reversed. Sandy has once again reached hurricane strength.
Forecasters say the storm, which has winds of about 120-kilometres an hour, is heading north towards the U.S. east coast after battering the Bahamas. Officials believe the eye could come ashore near Delaware on Monday or Tuesday. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of some severely soggy conditions for the GTA in the coming days because of remnants of Sandy.
