Teachers to rally in front of Ajax-Pickering Liberal MPP offices

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, Education, Politics

High school teachers will rally outside the offices of Ajax-Pickering MPP Joe Dickson Friday afternoon.  The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation is protesting Bill 115, which legislated teachers’ salaries and their right to strike.  District 13 President Dave Barrowclough says anyone who supported this bill should be held responsible.  He says they should be allowed to bargain a contract with the school board.  Meanwhile, he expects similar rallies to be held in front of Pickering-Scarborough East MPP Tracy MacCharles’ office in the future, as well as the offices of other Liberal members.
