Voters in Durham will be going to the polls on November 26th. Prime Minister Stephen Harper made the announcement Sunday. The riding’s seat has been vacant since August, when former cabinet minister Bev Oda stepped down amid controversy over her expenses. Attempting to hold onto the seat for the Conservatives will be Erin O’Toole, while the Liberals are running Grant Humes. Former Brock mayor Larry O’Connor has announced that he’s seeking the nomination of the NDP. The nomination will be decided October 30th. Other ridings that will be holding byelections include Victoria and Calgary-Centre.
