Health officials in Durham have a message for parents of children with asthma

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, Education, Healthcare

The Durham Health Department has an important message for parents of children with asthma, and that’s to make sure their school is aware of the condition. Public Health Nurse Cathy Snider says it’s the best way to manage and control asthma attacks at school. Snider says it’s also very important for fellow students to be aware of your child’s asthma, since they may be the first one on hand should an emergency arise. The department provides a free school-based asthma education program for students upon request.
