81 year old woman victim of fraud in the town of Georgina

York Regional Police are looking for the public’s help in locating a male suspect involved in a recent fraud in Georgina.  According to authorities, around 11:30 a.m. September 7th, a male suspect contacted an 81 year old woman by phone and advised there with issues with her bank account.  The victim withdrew cash and met the suspect in the parking lot of a commercial plaza at Arlington Drive and Woodbine Avenue.  The suspect left with the victim’s money.  He is described as white, 50 to 60 years old, 5’5, 200 pounds, heavy build, and clean shaven with a ruddy complexion.  Police are concerned there may be other victims.  Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-866-876-5423, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-tips (8477).
