Cottagers continue to close down their summer homes

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, GTA, Toronto

As the cold weather starts moving in, more and more cottagers are closing their summer homes.  OPP officer Iain McEwan says it’s important to close your cottage properly, so you can avoid loss from animals and thieves.  Police say any vehicles left at cottages should be winterized, secure and disabled as they are a likely target along with different types of electronics. McEwan also says to be sure to take all food and alcohol home as well.
