Woman accused in fatal impaired driving crash on the 407 to appear in court

The woman accused of impaired driving in a fatal long weekend crash will appear in court, Wednesday. Police allege 55 year old Mary Sampson was driving the wrong way along Highway 407 near Highway 403, colliding head on with another vehicle, and killing 47 year old Carol Grimmond. Sampson faces charges including impaired driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. The victim’s brother, who was driving the vehicle that was struck, also suffered minor injuries.
