Ontario to make an announcement regarding animal protection

Ontario is expected to strengthen animal welfare laws. In the wake of, so far unproven, allegations of the mistreatment of animals at Marineland, Community Safety and Correctional Services Minister Madeleine Meilleur has scheduled a news conference for Wednesday afternoon. Meilleur had said her staff would review the current animal protection law and amend it if necessary.
