A day dedicated to first responders passes second reading at Queen’s Park

Several Police officers, firefighters and emergency workers were on hand at the Legislature this week in support of a proposal to declare May 1st as ‘First Responders Day’ in Ontario. The Bill has received second reading and will now go to further review by the Standing Committee on General Government. The declaration of a day to emergency workers each year will be viewed as a tribute to those who protect and saves lives and property.
