Toronto fire crews battle two early morning fires

A busy early Tuesday for fire services. A family in Toronto was taken to hospital as a precaution following a blaze on Melody Road, near Weston and the 401, around 12:30 am. Damage from the fire, which was contained mostly to the basement, was estimated at $20,000. Meanwhile, in North York, fire crews were called to an unoccupied home near Bathurst and Lawrence just before 4 am. No injuries were reported.
