Good news for a new animal shelter in North Durham

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

A new animal shelter for Uxbridge and Scugog is another step closer to becoming reality as the not-for-profit organization raising funds for the project has just been granted charitable status.  President Art Mathews says they’re looking to raise about a million dollars and hope to breakground on a new facility in late 2014 or early 2015.  Mathews says the current shelter is old, has no drinking water and no isolation area.  The group has raised about 10 percent of their one million dollar goal.  For more information click here.
