82 year-old succumbs to injuries after crash in Port Perry

An 82 year-old Port Perry man has died following a two vehicle crash in the Simcoe and Whitfield area. Durham Police say the accident took place around 3:30 Friday afternoon, when a BMW collided with a Toyota. The victim, who was driving the Toyota, was airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto where he was later pronounced dead. The driver and a passenger in the BMW suffered only minor injuries. The investigation into the cause is ongoing, and any witnesses are being asked to come forward.
