Durham Police look for suspect in Whitby home invasion

Durham Police are looking for a male suspect after a home invasion in Whitby Saturday.  According to authorities, around 4:15 pm, a man and woman, in their 60’s returned home in the Thickson and Taunton Road area.  A man entered in behind them and a scuffle ensued as the suspect grabbed for the woman’s necklace.  He fled on foot empty handed.  The woman was treated for minor injuries.  The suspect is described as black with light skin, about 25-30 years old with a heavy build.  He was wearing a black hoodie with a white shirt underneath and black track pants with white striping down the legs.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
