Neighbour helps prevent a break-in in Bowmanville

Durham Police are crediting a neighbour for stopping a break and enter in Bowmanville. Officers were called to Ivory Court, just off Highway 2, west of Green Road at about 11:00 Monday night, after a citizen reported someone trying to get into a home. Police found several broken windows and quickly tracked down the suspect. A 17 year old from Oshawa is facing charges. Police also determined that the accused was on probation for a previous theft and assault incident.
