Plastic bag ban discussion at Toronto City Council, pushed back to Wednesday

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, GTA, Politics, Toronto

Toronto City Council is back at it Tuesday, however, the plastic bag ban won’t be discussed until Wednesday.  The ban could be delayed or even reversed after councillors hear from their counsel on possible legal action.  The ban is set to come into effect on January 1st, however, the Ontario Convenience Stores Association says if that happens it will take the city to court as they believe the ban violates the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
