Contempt motion will now be examined by a legislative committee

MPP’s have voted to send a contempt motion against Energy Minister Chris Bentley to a legislative committee. The vote happened just before noon Tuesday. Premier McGuinty appealed to the opposition parties to consider the ramifications such a move would have on Bentley’s career. The claim is that the government has refused to release all documents on the decision to close the Oakville and Mississauga power plants.
