Clinic at the Oshawa Health Centre officially closes

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, Healthcare

The clinic at the Oshawa Health Centre officially shut its doors Monday. 15 workers protested in August, when the clinic’s owner announced his decision to retire and shut down operations, but they’ve since come to a separation agreement. OPSEU Campaigns Officer Rick Janson says while the clinic is closed, there are still services available at the site, including a lab, dental suite and pharmacy. Three doctors have also decided to lease space in the building. Meanwhile, other doctors were expected to contact their patients to let them know their new centre of operations.
