New Durham initiative raises money for children’s charity

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

A new initiative in Durham region has helped raise $35 thousand for the Grandview Children’s Foundation.  The Ready-Mix-Drum program received donations from seven local businesses, in exchange for putting their company logo on the drums of Dufferin Concrete Trucks for a year.  Grandview will also get a big promotional space on the vehicle and executive director, Vicky Earle, says the move will spread the word about the need to support local children.  In other areas of the GTA, the program, which is in its fifth year, has raised over $600 thousand for various health service providers, including Sick Kids in Toronto.
