Ajax considers development future of waterfront

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Business, Durham, GTA, Politics

The town of Ajax has acquired some new parkland at the waterfront.  The new 19 acres of land is located north of the Lake Ontario shoreline, adjacent to Ontoro Boulevard and stretching north to Range Road.  Mayor Steve Parish says looking around the world, successful cities exploit their waterfront.  He says they will layout options for future development of the property in the next waterfront plan.  He says he expects it to be left in a mostly natural state with some opportunity for recreational activity.
