Officials are attributing the death of a 71-year-old man in Windsor-Essex county to the virus. Two weeks ago a 74 year old Toronto man with West Nile, also died. Public Health Ontario says there have been 220 confirmed and probable human cases of West Nile virus, as of September 25th.  The only year Ontario had more cases was in 2002, with 394 cases – that was the first year West Nile virus was reported in Canada.
