Toronto program keeps youth away from gangs

A special program in Toronto, which helps keep young people away from gangs is getting some help from the federal government. They’re investing an additional $244,000 in the “Prevention and Intervention Toronto Project”, which pairs at-risk youth between the ages of 13 and 24 with trained professionals to guide them to housing, education and employment resources. The new funding will help keep the $4.2-million program going for another 9 months.
