Ministry of Environment fines an Uxbridge man

An Uxbridge resident has been fined $85,000 for allegedly discharging water off-site to nearby roads and properties. According to the Ministry of the Environment, George Muntry Eng, who owns a peat extraction business in Uxbridge, was found to be discharging water off-site without ministry approval. When an order was issued for him to stop, he did not comply. Eng also received a suspended sentence for operating a sewage works without Ministry approval.
