GM workers vote in favour of their new deal

CAW members at General Motors have approved a new collective agreement by 73 per cent margin. The GM deal follows the pattern set by the agreement reached with Ford last week. It includes a $3,000 quality and productivity bonus, as well as cost of living lump sum payments of $2,000 in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The CAW has also reached a tentative agreement with Chrysler with ratification votes scheduled for this weekend.
