Motorcyclist sent to hospital after losing control of vehicle

A 28 year old Whitby man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Valleywood Drive Saturday afternoon. Police say at approximately 3:35 pm a motorcycle, driving at a high rate of speed, went through a stop sign at Valleywood from Knotty Pine Drive, made a right and lost control, ending up on a resident’s lawn. Officials say the driver of the motorcycle sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was air-lifted to a Toronto hospital.
