CAW hopeful for tentative contract with Chrysler

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Business, Durham, GTA

Canadian Auto Workers president Ken Lewenza says he’s optimistic a tentative contract with Chrysler can be reached within a few days.  Lewenza says the tone of yesterday’s talks in Toronto was constructive and respectful, although he adds that reaching a deal still won’t be easy.  The CAW reached a tentative agreement with General Motors on Thursday, and with Ford three days earlier.  Results of the ratification vote on the Ford deal are due to be announced Sunday night.
