Police investigating, after laser pointed at aircraft in Peel Region

A police probe is under way after pilots trying to land at Pearson Airport reported seeing a beam of light pointed at them. Peel Police say it’s likely the light came from a laser pointer. The incident happened at about 9:00 Tuesday night. It’s against the law to shine bright lights at aircraft, and those who do it could face a fine of up to $100,000 and be sentenced to up to five years in jail.
