Durham Police are looking for a lone male suspect, after a ring was stolen from an autistic man. Officials say last Thursday, the 27 year old victim was sitting outside the Shoppers Drug Mart, on Highway-2 in Courtice, when the suspect struck up a conversation, then asked him to remove his ring so he could have a closer look. The suspect then fled the area, and was last seen running northbound on Varcoe Road. He’s described as white, unshaven with a slender build, long black hair and was wearing a black t-shirt with a skull on it. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 905-579-1520, ext. 1624 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
