Talks continue between the CAW and both GM and Chrysler, with progress being made

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, GTA

After extending Monday night’s deadline, talks are continuing between the CAW and both GM and Chrysler.  Union President Ken Lewenza says he remains optimistic, adding that negotiations have been constructive and they are making progress.  However, if at any time the union feels talks have stalled, it will issue 24 hours strike notice.  The CAW reached a deal with Ford on Monday afternoon, that’s now being used as a pattern deal with GM and Chrysler.
