Diabetes registry set to be cancelled by eHealth Ontario

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Healthcare, Politics

eHealth Ontario is cancelling its contract to set to a diabetes registry.  Greg Reed, President of eHealth, confirmed Tuesday that notice of termination has been sent to CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants Inc.   A resolution passed by the eHealth Board of Directors on September 5th had recommended terminating the agreement to build the registry.  Health Minister Deb Matthews says she supports the decision to cancel the contract, noting it protects taxpayers from 46 million dollars in spending.
